  • Letter Writing Group—Need to catch up on New Year’s greetings or holiday thank-you cards? TFL’s new Letter Writing Group meets Tuesday, Jan 7 from 4:00-5:00 pm. We’ll have stationary, pens & stamps to share.
  • Teen Writers Group—1st meeting: Thursday, Jan 23 at 5:30 pm.
  • Celebrate Lunar New Year—Join us on Friday, Jan 24 from 3:30-5:00 pm to ring in the Year of the Rat with snacks and crafts for all ages!
  • National Puzzle Day—Jan 29 is National Puzzle Day. Have fun and exercise your brain at the library with crossword, jigsaw, Sudoku and more!
  • Free Movie Night— Enjoy the 1983 classic “The Big Chill” on Friday, Jan 31 at 6:00 pm. Popcorn provided!

The Thompson Free Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) provides feedback about library services and helps plan teen activities and events. Are you interested in gaining leadership experience and helping to make the library a better place for teens? Consider joining TAB!

TAB-Sponsored Summer Activities:

  • History/Global Politics Club: Meets every Tuesday at 3:30 pm. Come participate in conversations about history and current events.
  • High School Book Group: Meets Wednesday, July 10 and Wednesday, August 14 at 3:00 pm. Talk about books you are reading, and get recommendations for what to read next.
  • Coding Club: First meeting on Friday, July 12 at 3:30 pm. Share your coding projects and learn new skills!
  • Teen Game Nights: Friday July 19 and Friday, August 16 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Board games, card games, and pizza.

The first meeting is Wednesday, February 27 at 3:30 pm. Earn community service hours, have fun, and eat snacks!

Join us for our next “Monthly Make” event with STEM guide Alicia Millette. This month, teens learn about chemistry while making bath bombs, lip balm, and face scrub. Take home your creations!
