Free Public Computers & WiFi

The library offers desktop and laptop computers for public use, and free Wi-Fi access for your own device. We also offer printing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing services.

Collection

Our collection includes current bestsellers, fiction and non-fiction, large print books, graphic novels. magazines, audiobooks, and DVDs. You can also check out a telescope or get a pass for Maine State Parks.

Community Meeting Room

We welcome use of the library’s downstairs meeting room by community groups and organizations. The meeting room is equipped with tables and chairs, a projector setup, and small kitchenette. To reserve the meeting room, please contact the library.

Interlibrary Loans & Online Accounts

Set up an online account to see what you have checked out, renew materials from home, and place holds requests on items from other participating Balsam ILL libraries. Contact the library to find out how! If TFL and other participating Balsam Libraries don’t have what you you’re looking for, we can order though interlibrary loan via Bangor Public Library. Please limit to four requests at a time. Order forms are available at the library. (Or contact us and we’ll fill out for you.)

The library has many genealogy and local history resources. Discover local history online though our digitized collection of Piscataquis Observers (1838-2016) or come into the library to access Ancestry Library Edition.
